Read Me Differently Initiative

Organizational Partners

Organizations in diverse fields—education, mental health, social services, youth empowerment—are joining with filmmaker Sarah Entine, the director of Read Me Differently, to spread this message, these values, and this vision. Organizational partners help by:

  • organizing screenings of Read Me Differently
  • writing about the film and this campaign in newsletters, blogs and social media
  • sharing copies of the Read Me Differently DVD with families
  • incorporating Read Me Differently into training for social workers, special education teachers, school counselors, and mental health providers
  • hosting Sarah to present the film and share strategies for cultivating compassion and resilience
  • being listed as a partner on the Read Me Differently website
  • listing Read Me Differently as a resource on the organization’s website, store, etc.
  • exchanging mailing lists when appropriate
  • following Read Me Differently on Facebook and Twitter

Eye to Eye

Eye to Eye is the only national mentoring movement that pairs youth who have learning disabilities and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (LD / ADHD) with college and high school mentors who have been similarly labeled. Using their arts-based curriculum, mentors help their mentees understand their unique way of learning and thinking, building self-esteem and skills they need to become self-advocates.
